How durable are solar panels?

I'm just looking for more information on how solar panels work and what to expect. I've spoken to some solar installers in Tehachapi, but forgot to ask one question.

How durable are solar panels? Will they be able to take snow, hail, etc?

Solar panels are built well, and should be able to handle anything but the most severe hail. Snow shouldn't be a problem at all, and will simply slide off as it melts.

If your solar panels are ever damaged, they should be covered under your extended warranty. Make sure to check with your solar installer in Tehachapi to see how long they're covered for.
