How long does it take to install solar panels?

0 votes
I live in Oakland and have been checking out more information on solar panels. I was wondering if solar panels take very long to install? What's the process like exactly? Will I be out of power for a long time if I decide to install solar panels? Just curious and trying to gather more info.

It really depends on the solar installer, how long the permitting process takes, and other outside factors. Generally, it can take anywhere from three days to a whole week. You might need to spend several hours without power, but again, this all depends on many individual factors. Check out our section on the solar installation process to learn more about what to expect.
