Looking for information on solar rebates in Livermore

0 votes

My name is Rachel, and I've been living in Livermore for about six years now. My husband and I have seen our neighbors install solar panels on their homes, and we're thinking about doing the same.

Our neighbors told us that they were able to get rebates from the California Solar Initiative, but I've also heard that they aren't available anymore. I was wondering where I could learn more about whether or not I could still claim a solar rebate in Livermore.

Hi Rachel,

PG&E manages the solar rebate program in Livermore, and it's unfortunately suspended at the moment. You can receive the most up-to-date information on PG&E's solar rebate program at this website

While you might not be able to claim a rebate, consider that you'll still be able to access a 30% federal tax credit on the cost of your installation. Additionally, solar panel prices have come down a lot on their own, and a new system may not be as expensive as you imagine.

You might also want to ask about leasing or alternative financing options. Either way, installing a solar system in Livermore will save you a lot of money down the line. You can contact some solar installers in Livermore through our listing.
